Dear HSPs,
There have been many questions about the upcoming HSP-Myers Briggs Teleclass. For that reason I have created the following "Frequently Asked Questions" which I hope answers your questions and concerns.
Frequently Asked Questions About the HSP-Myers Briggs Teleclass
What are the correct dates? There was a discrepancy in the first announcement.
The correct dates and times are:
Part One:
Part Two:
If I can't make the "live" teleclass, will it be recorded so that I can listen to it later?
Yes, it will be recorded and available for a limited time only after April 6th. However, to learn the most about these topics, it is strongly suggested that if at all possible you join us "live" or wait until a future time to take the teleclass.
These times do not conveniently fit with the European time zones. Will you be offering this, and other HSP Teleclasses at more convenient times for those of us in the European countries.
Yes. I plan on offering this same teleclass again in early summer, and will offer it at more convenient time zones for those in European countries . If you are in a European country and are interested, it would be helpful for me to know of your interest in advance.
What is a teleclass? Do I access it with a computer? Do I need a camera on my computer?
A teleclass is similar to a conference call or a group dialogue. It might also be similar to a graduate school discussion with shared information, questions and answers and discussion among group participants.
You do not need a computer, nor a camera. You simply use your telephone to call into a group conference phone number which will be provided once you sign up for the teleclass. Your regular long-distance phone rates will apply. Upon registration, you will be sent more detailed information about how to participate in a teleclass.
What is the cost? How do I make payment?
The cost is $159 for the 3 hour teleclass - a real bargain just in case you didn't know :-). This includes access to the statistically valid and reliable MBTI Assessment, and extensive handouts which will be sent to you after Part Two on April 6th. The payment link is here: http://lifeworkshelp.com/pay.htm Chose the "Teleclasses" Buy Now Button, enter the amount of $159.
What if I still do not know my accurate type after the HSP-Myers Briggs teleclass?
In rare instances, it may take more time and discussion to gain an accurate MBTI type. In this case, additional counseling time would be needed and charged for. This would include more personal information about your childhood family of origin, and your ages between 1-12; 12-17 and 17-35 ... We do go over these age groups in Part Two, but not as in depth as we would in a private counseling session.
Will individual results of our Myers Briggs Assessment be revealed during the class?
Yes. This is an important part of the class as we will all learn from one another and our process to determine our accurate type. You will be asked to use your first name only.
What will be discussed during the two 1.5 hour classes?
Part One: You will learn: the 8 preferences; what they measure; how they overlap with the HSP trait; and you will be asked to self identify your MBTI type. We will use the statistically valid and reliable 93 question inventory for final clarification.
Part Two: You will learn about the Dominate, Auxiliary, Tertiary and Least Preferred functions of your type as identified in Part One. This is perhaps one of the most overlooked, yet crucial aspects to learning about type and how to apply it in your life.
Besides the above you will learn:
Implications of our Myers Briggs type combined with our HSP Trait
Have you ever wondered why:
• Many HSPs may have felt they were swimming upstream from the dominate culture;
• HSPs may feel especially challenged to accomplish the goals most important to them;
• There may be more Extravert HSPs than we previously thought; and why HSP Extraverts have the best of both the “Introverted World” and the “Extraverted” World;
• There is no such thing as being “right in between” two preferences such as the J and P or E and I; and why this often indicates some sort of turmoil or transition between two preferences;
• Understanding your least preferred function (the inferior function) is crucial to what Carl Jung called “full type individuation;”
• The first 12 years of life may have erroneously influenced your Myers Briggs type;
• We need all 16 types and why HSPs need non-HSPs and vice versa;
• Your family of origin or school experience may have erroneously influenced your authentic self; and
• HSPs are often striving toward what Carl Jung has called “full type individuation” and your authentic self
How do I sign up?
