Today's Picture to Ponder Photos
Views of several fruits in water in an urn
As we were leaving a hotel after a meeting last week, my eye was caught by the urn of water on a table in the entrance foyer. Close to it was a tray with cups. "What a creative and gracious touch," thought I, and then pulled out the camera.
The top photo is one where I went right up to the image. I either moved the camera or did not set it for macro, thus the blur. I include it because I like the painterly feeling of the imagery.
The second was cropped from a mid-range photo I took and is the one I most like for both the clarity and the textures.
I've included a photo of the full urn so you, too, can get something of the experience and the last cropped photo of the cup represents what could have been another series, had I thought of it. When I was looking at the photo as I was playing today, I became intrigued with the reflections in and around the cup, as well as in the water.
Self-Reflecting Queries
Today was Play Day with the photographs, rather than with thoughts for queries. We could create some around what seems to be the underlying theme of many of the issues of Picture to Ponder -
"What is available when we change focus, looking at things and situations from many perspectives?"
Also, "What becomes available to us when we are open, then stop and pay attention to the unexpected?"
