Today's Picture to Ponder Photo
Climbing Pandanus Flower at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, Florida
I love the richness of the color and posture of this flower. I light up every time I look at it and it delights me to share it with you, many of whom I suspect will have a similar response.
Self-Reflecting Queries
Are there places in your life where you are challenged while looking for answers?
I have gotten into the habit of photographing signage identifying plants when I'm visiting gardens. I, thus, have the name immediately available when I review my photos. When I checked out the one I took next to this plant at Fairchild, and then goggled it, I saw the label I captured was for a totally different plant.
My disappointment was happily eliminated when I saw the same flower later in the week in the AOS gardens. Interestingly, it was the first time I had ever seen the plant in my four years of intermittent visits to tropical gardens.
My point here is that when I was open, the answer showed up.
