Today's Picture to Ponder Photo
Banana Tree leaves dancing in the wind - Today's explanation is best expressed as:
THE BANANA TREE
A dance
A rhythm
A strength
A presence
Dancing in the wind
Rhythmically leaves spit and get lighter as they get larger
Blood red trunk
Rich and full the bottom is
Unfolding with power each of the leaves
from the center erect
then opening out majestically
to the right
the left
then slightly forward to us.
Where is backward?
Need to check.

For some unknown reason I find the banana tree fascinating, ever since I discovered the first I'd ever seen in the American Orchid Society's Gardens, almost four years ago. As a result, I love exploring and photographing all aspects of the trees.
My photo/drawing of the Ice Cream Banana tree at the AOS became the front- page art for my naturesplayground.com site and a photo/drawing I did of a Banana Pod from a Blood Banana tree in the gardens received a first-place award in an art show there. To see it, click on the 4th thumbnail image on the Nature's Playground home page.
Self-Reflecting Queries
Many times we have thoughts and feelings that have us start analyzing and investigating our past for the "why?" For instance, I stop and wonder, "What is the intrigue for me of the banana tree?" In the past I might have spent a lot of time on this AND is it really important? I'm coming to the conclusion in many instances, "Simply BE in the pleasure and enjoyment of it."
Are there things in your life right now which you are attempting to "figure out", "find the reasons for" and on and on? If so, might there be something available for you in simply being with whatever the thoughts and feelings are?
Perhaps, for some, free flow writing might further the "being" experience for you, not to find answers, but simply to allow whatever words might be there to come out one by one. I invite you to try this on.
When I sat to simply let the banana experience talk, what came out was what I shared above.
