TODAY'S PHOTO -
fireflag and other leaf reflections in Wakodahatchee Wetlands
The reflection of the soft, "furry" leaf originally caught my eye and camera as we were doing our customary early evening walk in Wakodahatchee. See LEAF REFLECTION.
I, of course, stepped back and photographed a few longer views also.
Once I saw the one above on my computer screen, I immediately made it the photo on my monitor desktop. For me it exudes a feeling of total peace and serenity. I especially like the light-colored fireflag leaf to the left of center that appears to be lazily floating on the water.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
One of the things that appeals to me in Fireflag Reflections is the almost seamless blend of what's above the water and what's reflected in it. Perhaps, unknowingly, I've been impacted by the tag line Linda Gipson put on her business card, "As Above, So Below"
As I think about this I'm reminded of the many times that negative inner monologues hold me back from creating what I say I want in the external world.
What if I were to always look at the beauty in the external world, including my own accomplishments, and have it and them also be reflected in my inner world and thoughts? What would be possible? The peace, serenity and "oneness" I see in today's photo would certainly be there.
How about for you? Is your inner world a reflection of the outer world you wish to be in or is it vice-versa?
Also, as I look around me I see things in my immediate physical spaces that were I to shift them would more than likely reflect into a inner clarity also. I'm sure all of you Feng Shui people would affirm this!
To clarity, serenity and peace for us all. Have a beautiful weekend.
