TODAY'S PHOTO -
a cut-off stem of buds from a pod flowering small tree in Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Someone, not I, had cut this and placed it on the top rail of the boardwalk.
There is something about this tableau that grabbed my attention and keeps coming up. This includes having a sudden visual image of it as I was driving and considering what photo to use today.
In looking at the picture above, I experience a certain peacefulness in the coloring and the gentle curves of the lines in the main stem and in the wood patterns. The Winged Anhinga symbol in the wood knot is a small focal point and brings a smile as I observe the dancingness quality of it.
The experience also reminds me that every May, as I walk along the boards of Wakodahatchee, I am suddenly surprised and pleased as I come around a bend and see this flower suddenly bursting forth with all of its energy. See PODFLOWER or the full ISSUE 96 and comments in which I featured the flower.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
I invite those of you who look forward to the SRQs to go to ISSUE 96 where comments give you the background for the following questions:
What things in your life provide rich and fulfilling
memories and experiences for you?
What can you claim as your center today as you burst
forth in all of your activities?
Also, regarding today's image, as I was not sure what kept coming up for me around this bud and flower, I decided to simply be content and appreciate the experience.
Are there places and things in your life that you are questioning, situations where you might be best served by simply being with and enjoying them?
Have a beautiful weekend.
