TODAY'S PHOTO -
red passion flower at night
When looking out my window late in the afternoon, I had the thought of taking some photographs of this passion flower while it was wide open with the sun shining brightly on it. I continued what I was doing and when I remembered it was night. Given that I had had the thought earlier, I grabbed my camera and took some photos despite the difference in time and thus appearance.
I love the brilliance of this photo. I could have adjusted it with Photoshop Elements and had the colors more natural and I decided to leave it as it is. There is something, for me, in the drama of the photo.
I did remove a couple of distracting buds and left the one in the upper right corner. The curled up shape appeals to me and I think it adds a mystique to the scene.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
Is there something you've said recently that you would do and then haven't because you say the timing has been wrong, or something else is off?
What might be available for you, what unexpected openings, if you simply put aside what's in the way and do it because you said you would?
Happy explorations and discoveries.
