TODAY'S
PHOTO -
orange daisy, I think.
This single flower was from my last week's flowers purchase at the supermarket. I think it's a daisy and I don't recall paying attention to the label. I assumed I knew what it was.
As far as this particular photo goes, I was experimenting, once again, with my camera and different backgrounds for my subject. In looking around for black, I grabbed one of the journals available in our gift shop, and used the back cover
to rest the flower on. I like the way the texture came out, a nice complement to the center of the flower, I think.
The daisy in this shot, to me, looks intriguing and and bright. It brings wishes for a sunny, cheerful week.

SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
Just as I didn't pay much attention to the name label on the cellophane around the flowers, I find myself sometimes asking people questions and then later realizing that I must not have paid full attention to their answers. I don't remember what they said, having heard but not heard. I think it's my "knowing," or thinking I do despite having asked, that kicks in.
Are you aware of finding yourself in similar situations? If so, have you developed systems for being certain that you do pay attention?
