TODAY'S
PHOTO -
double reflections of sunrise in Raritan Bay and in a large puddle pool at the beach in Laurence Harbor, NJ.
I call this photo my "Mystical Sunrise," in part because of the question mark I discovered at the bottom center of the puddle pool a couple of years after I saw the first print.
Insofar as other reflections on this sunrise, I leave you with a blank slate today. It evokes more of a wordless feeling me.
The photograph was taken almost 10 years ago during the time I was walking almost daily at Laurence Harbor beach, 15 minutes from our home in New Jersey. It was during a major beach restoration there that I got into taking thousands of photos with my non-digital, point and shoot camera. If you have not been there yet, check out our ABOUT US page on our naturesplayground.com site for more details on that experience.
After reading the comments I received on the two sunrises last week I thought many of you would appreciate seeing this too. Also, based on a subscriber's suggestion that I received last week, sunrise prints are now available for purchase.

SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
As I researched my computer, attempting to figure out how long ago I took the Mystical Sunrise photo, I was reminded once again with how quickly time passes. The date on the photo in my computer was a January 2001 date, evidently one of the times I had scanned it in. When I checked my history on the ABOUT US page, I saw the bulk of my Laurence Harbor pictures were taken in 1995. The puddle-pool was pre-completion time so the photo is evidently 10 years old.
This led me to thinking, how do you measure significant events in your life? Do you have them dated anyplace? Does it really matter when they were? Or, do the experience and memory of them become timeless?
