TODAY'S
PHOTO -
a lily, seen a couple of months ago near the entrance of Green Cay Wetlands.
As we listen to forecasts here in South Florida regarding the projected path of Hurricane Wilma,
I looked for a sunshiney image today. This lily caught my eye as I browsed through my files. It seems to be beckoning the viewer in for a nice secure experience.
(For most of you who are outside this area and may be wondering, the current projections are for the hurricane to come across the Southern portion of the state on Monday, moving from West to East, possible at a Level 1 strength.)
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
I like to think I remain on the positive side of situations. Today, as I encountered some people, I found myself coaching them on speaking from the positive.
I heard one person saying several times, "Well it won't be bad but we definitely will be without power!" My comment was, "How about shifting that to, 'This time we will have power throughout any of the storm that might come through.'"
Are you aware of how you speak during times that may be troubling for you? Are you aware of the impact that your words may be having on yourself and others? If it's a draining one, would you like to shift that? How might you do it?
I invite you to take some time this weekend to listen to yourself, paying attention to the words you speak out loud to both yourself and to others. If you don't like what you hear, play with shifting your words into a different direction.
As always, have fun with this and create a great weekend, wherever you are.
