TODAY'S PHOTO
-
a small red hibiscus, or is it?
Back to flowers in the outdoors, this one caught my eye as we
were walking in our neighborhood the other evening. They
were planted around a mailbox.
This morning as I sorted through photos this flower brought
a smile to my face. Somehow the leaf "tipping its hat"
over a portion of the flower sets up a feeling of flirtatiousness,
for me. I offer it to you in fun, for the colors and the expression.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
I initially assumed that the flowers were hibiscus. This morning,
as I readied the photo for inclusion in Picture to Ponder and
again looked at the flower and the leaves on my monitor, I began
to wonder if, in fact, it was. I now feel the need to go back
and check with the people whose plant it is.
In the meantime, I realized that it's the overall photo itself,
and not its identity or label, that is important here.
This then leads to the "perfect" query for the day.
How often do we measure people by their "name tags"
and/or their titles and interact with them, or not, accordingly?
How many times have you, or I, turned someone off before getting
to know him/ her, simply because we made a snap judgement on
who we thought he/she was from some label we, someone else,
or society put on them?
What would be/is available for us when we cast all that aside
and simply, without considerations, get to know people that
we meet for the contributions that they are?
AUDIO TESTIMONIALS -
Check out the new 28
second message from Sondra, who shares how a custom photo/drawing
of her father, done by Sheila, provided a major breakthrough
for her in being able to get past her many years of grief at
his loss, so that she can now enjoy photos of him.
Judith
Tramayne-Barth wrote to say, "When I wanted to make
an audio for Sheila, she made it really easy for me. She called
me and set up a 3 way call so I could record how wonderful I
think her ezine is and her artwork. I am sure she will do the
same for you. And she didn't even mind the blooper I made about
her art site name. (LOL)."
Check out Judith's and other Audio Testimonials on the new AUDIO
LINKS page.
I'd love to have your voice there also. A sentence or two is
more than enough, if you are person of a few words.
I will publish the link for yours in Picture to Ponder and on
the testimonial
page on the eteletours site. You can call in yourself at
