TODAY'S PHOTO
-
a photo/drawing of a Florida bird of paradise flower.
While listening to Judith Tramayne Barth's testimonial
phone call yesterday, I was reminded that many of you are
not familiar with my photo drawing art. This is art where I've
done hand drawing directly onto my photos, a discovery that
I made several years ago. It occurred to me that a feature photo
here would be the best way to introduce this aspect of my creativity
to those of you who are unfamiliar with it.
I selected this particular image because it's the one to which
Judith is referring when she speaks of my art and the tiles
she loves and has also purchased for gifts. In addition it has
the oranges that were Renee's expressed preferences in our
interview phone call and some subtle purples, the other
color for which so many others of you have expressed a particular
love.
The flower itself was in a small garden outside a convention
center and had caught my eye
as I was on my way to the parking lot, coming from an event,
camera in the car.
You can see a wide variety of photo/drawings at naturesplayground.com.
Many people go to that site to simply visit and appreciate what's,
for them, a restorative few moments. They and others also appreciate
the note
card sets that are available there, as well as the images
on other products for sale in our CafePress
Nature Art Shop. As a matter of fact, Cafe Press
is currently running another sale through July 27. The code
for it is in the sidebar on that site.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
My whole discovery/creation of photo/drawing was a happy accident.
See my article ACCIDENTAL
ART for a more about this.
Reflect back on your life, including current moments, on things
that you have discovered and created out of those discoveries.
It does not have to be art, as such. It might be simply a new
way of cutting or eating a piece of fruit.
Acknowledge yourself for those and if you
don't have them written down it might be a good idea to put them
in an "Acknowledgement Diary."
