TODAY'S PHOTO -
a least bittern on a stem of a fireflag bush in Wakodahatchee
Wetlands
I selected this photo to wish you a warm, bright and light-filled
weekend. The intensity of the bird's eye also suggests keeping
your eyes wide open this weekend for what's treasured in your
life, as well as anything new that comes in.
Insofar as the photo itself goes, I love the warmth of the yellow-orange
and rust colors brought out by the late afternoon sun and the
way they add to the bird's camouflage. Least
bitterns usually don't stay still long enough for many pictures.
I guess this one felt quite comfortable in its environment. He/she
stayed put for some time.
A thought for the weekend - What kinds of environments do you
have, or do you create, to be comfortably still?
An action for this weekend - If you have not already done so,
it might be a good time for you to take a few minutes to answer
the 100th issue SURVEY
questions. See Issue
100 for the prizes.
READER COMMENTS ON THE LAST ISSUE - Issue

"This is my new favorite picture. You combined a bridge,
people (my survey request) AND the fact that the person is SAM
makes it all the better!" Julie
Jordan Scott
"Congratulations! I hadn't even been noticing the numbers.
Your choice of subject for the 100th issue is very apropos."
