TODAY'S PHOTO -
a photo of Sam at the entrance to Wakodahatchee Wetlands.
Since so many of the photos in our past 100 issues have been from
Wakodahatchee Wetlands, I thought a photo of my beloved husband,
and partner, Sam combined with the entrance to our favorite walking
place would be a fitting way to embark onto the pathway of the
next 100 plus issues.
Sam said it would be great to have an Open House and we have yet
to figure out how to create a Virtual one. So consider that in
our hearts you are all visiting with us and each other today.
THE CELEBRATION -
I am so excited at having reached #100 in the past 5 months
I wanted to create something special. I decided, as a gift to
those of you who like to go back and visit some your favorite
photos, to compile an alphabetized index of the first 100 issues
with links to the issues. See LIST.
I have also created a gift that YOU can bring to the party,
receiving a virtual raffle ticket in exchange that will
be entered into a drawing. There are prizes for
the three winners AND everyone who brings a gift will receive
a certificate.
So what is the GIFT that I request of you?
It's to take a few minutes of your time to fill out a SURVEY
that will help us in serving you even better in the future.
Your responses will assist us in knowing what has worked, what
hasn't and where we head.
The survey is an online survey, mainly with yes, no, or bulleted
choice answers, nothing to write unless you so choose. Now for
the prizes.
PRIZES -
1st Prize is the tropical
water lily pillow, or any other product, with the exception
of framed prints, from our Cafe
Press Nature Art shop. This includes having your favorite
photo put on any one product, other than framed prints, that we
sell in this shop!
2nd Prize is an 8 X 10 photo of the winner's choice.
3rd Prize is a $10 gift certificate, excluding shipping,
on any product in CP Nature Art and for
for ALL SURVEY RESPONDENTS, a $5.00 gift certificate on
orders over $40 from the Gift Shop.
ACTIONS TO TAKE -
A quick check, if you wish, of the LIST.
One of the survey questions asks for your favorite photo and
you might want to see which photo you'd like if you win. You
might also like to check out the GIFT
SHOP if you have not been there.
Then go to SURVEY
and do some quick clicks and scrolling. Fill in your name and
e-mail address if you wish to be entered into the drawing and
then click SUBMIT. That's it.
If you wish to preview the questions you can click on the survey
and come back. If anyone is uncomfortable with this, and there
is no reason to be, I have posted the questions on my site - See
SURVEY
-5/05 and you can copy them and respond by e-mailing me directly.
DEADLINES -
The deadline for responding to the survey is midnight Thursday,
May 19th. The drawing will be done on Friday, May 20th. Winners
will be notified that day and announced in Picture to Ponder on
Tuesday, May 31st. I intend to invite one of our subscribers who
lives in my community to do the impartial drawing.
Thank you all for playing with me these past however many issues
that you have been subscribing.
THANK YOUS -
to Morgine
Jurdan for brainstorming prizes with me and Julie
Jordan Scott for suggestions, support and for creating the
EZINES THAT ROCK course that had PICTURE TO PONDER come alive
in the first place!
If you are interested in creating your own electronic magazine/newsletter,
there is still time to get into the last 3 sessions of the 4 session
EZINES THAT ROCKS that started today. Write
to Julie to ask her about it.
READER COMMENTS ON THE LAST ISSUE - Issue
99
Gretchen Little wrote, "Eye popping, Sheila! Like
gorgeous, pink fireworks!"
My comment - I'm still going "Wow!"
each time I open this issue.
Mary Gray stated:
"I am losing it! I saw "Spider Mums" in the subject
line, and although I know very well that those are flowers, I
got a quick image of mama spiders bouncing about on webs. Oy!
I agree that the close-up of the two flowers is more striking
than the photo of the arrangement, but I'm sure I couldn't manage
Ikebana at all. I have a friend who took a course last year, and
my eyes crossed as she listed all the considerations that go into
this "simple" composition" and
Judith
Tramayne-Barth wrote:
"Like what you did with the Mums. Made them much more
exciting to look at -- very creative!"
ADDITIONAL SUBSCRIBERS DESIRED -
If you you are enjoying PICTURE TO PONDER please pass your experiences
of it on to your friends and colleagues and suggest that they,
too, SUBSCRIBE.
They too can participate in the Celebration if they come on board,
and surf through some back issues, before Thursday, May 19th.
The link for today's issue is http://www.eteletours.com/issue100.html,
if you wish to share this particular one. In many instances, the
photos are not picked up if you simply forward the issue.
