TODAY'S PHOTO -
a fallen leaf from the Bo Tree in Marie Selby Gardens in Sarasota,
Florida. There were several different leaf pictures that I had
taken and this one brought a chuckle when I looked at it today.
So that you can see the others, I've
created a new page on eTeletours. See PATTERNS
IN NATURE.
ACTIVITY SUGGESTION: Imagine what the world would look
like if you could use one of these leaves as a filter.
The Bo Tree is a sacred tree to Hindus and Buddas and in India
it is planted near Temples. See a portion of the information
sign on the PATTERNS
page. The tree at Selby Gardens was completely uprooted
by Tropical Storm Gabriel in September, 2001 and was saved through
a massive rescue effort.
READER COMMENTS ON THE LAST ISSUE - Issue
81
"WOW, I love those colors!
Im getting chills up my spine!"
"I am amazed by the way the details--the pattern on the
petals and the stamens show up. As we are denied scent from
this flower, I wonder what it feels like. It looks soft and
smooth, maybe even velvety."
and I chuckled when reading:
"larger than life it makes
me sneeze! I do not Love allergy Season."
Did anyone else do ant
writing from the prompts yesterday that you would like to share
and have included on special THOUGHT-PROVOKING RESPONSE pages
that I'm adding to eTeletours.com, as time allows. As an example,
you can see Morgine Jurdan's response to my "been there,
done that" comment and query on the nesting blue herons
on ptp_response65.
FORWARDING PICTURE TO PONDER -
If you enjoyed today's PTP, and would like to share it with
friends, feel free to send them the link for this issue - http://www.eteletours.com/issue82.html.
In many instances, the photos are not picked up if you simply
forward the issue.
