TODAY'S PHOTO -
This mixed pot of tulips, from which the pink bud was photographed
a day earlier, is the last of the tulips that I will show this
week. It brings wishes for continued
openings and a happy Spring.
Please note the memories and "Scents of Spring" discussion/query
below, after LAST ISSUE COMMENTS.

" It's strange that you mention the Tulip looking like
it's nestled "in it's womb". Before I read your description,
I was thinking that the bud looked like a baby vagina or "womb".
What a beautiful photo. The photo has the essence of pure innocence
"...this picture is particularly
wonderful with all the hope it brings of an "opening
up". Let us pray that there is an "opening up"
in the research on Parkinson's."
"Tulips have always been one of my favorite flowers.
As a child walking to school in the springtime, I would silently
admire them. We had Lillies of the Valley growing on our small
lawn and so I would think only the rich people had tulips."
Interesting... to me Lilies of the Valley, though not a childhood
memory, evoke memories of short-lived, wonderful aromas. As
I think about them, with the "White Coral Bells upon
a slender stalk..." refrain humming in my head, I'm reminded
of many of the Scents and Colors of Spring that are not particularly
evident in our almost seasonless climate here in Florida.
Yellow is the predominant color that stays with me - forsythia,
daffodils, willow tree leaves starting to open AND the returning
dandelions!
What are the Scents and Colors that you are now experiencing
as Spring bursts forth in your area? What memories do you
have? Perhaps you'd like to share one with a family member
or friend who experienced that time with you. For fun, compare.
Was their experience the same as yours, such as the one related
above, thinking that "only the rich people have tulips?"
